Young Talent

Engaging the workplace of tomorrow, today.

One of most common complaints about staff hiring and acquiring potential workers, is that the generation entering the workforce today is not prepared for operating in the work environment, that they have insufficient skills and the up-time between hire and becoming an effective employee is getting to be excessive.

It is key to the success of any business, that staff training is built into the business strategy. Investing in your staff with training, along with a supportive work environment, encourages staff to remain and develop with the business, but also helps develop their skills to aid with business progress and success.

One of the positives that can come from a lower skill level for new starters, is that it is easier for any company to input training and engage with the new staff, giving an immediate feeling of being both welcome and valued. This often shows itself in the returns, which is a dedicated employee with improved passion and loyalty for the role.

If you are looking at building a staff development plan, designed around both company development and staff development, do get in touch with us via our Contact page, to see how we can support you.

How we are helping.

At Legge-Work Consultancy, we are already working with and helping with the workplace engagement of students within schools, to try and overcome the increasing barrier between new-starts and work-place readiness. Currently, we operate within one local school, giving students workplace experiences and workshops around strategic thinking, business planning, efficiency, economics and several soft skills such as; negotiation, time-management, forward planning, positive outlooks and more, all built into engaging and dynamic activities, designed to see students both learn and enjoy.

We actively seek opportunities to place work-experience students, on behalf of the school, but also work with the business to help capitalise on the placement, through local-media coverage. By helping out students with work-placements, this generates community impact and generates free marketing content for your business, as well as helping meet positive values in the workplace.

If you would be keen to offer work placements, business experiences/visits and/or get involved with recruiting in the local schools, do get in touch to find out more.

Feedback from some of the students supported in the past:

Thank you for creating an enjoyable Work Experience for the people who couldn’t participate in activities outside of school. The activities you set up, like the trading game, were very fun and taught a valuable lesson. I believe that I now know more about how the world and economy work, the difficulties of getting a job and how to get jobs. Received 2026

I would like to inform you of how happy I am to have an indoor work-experience by someone very professional and helpful. That day was an excellent day and taught lots of new and interesting things, alongside teamwork and fun games. Although I was sad to see I didn’t get a work placement, I was grateful to receive a helpful and peaceful day which would match my enjoyment where if I was put in a placement. Thank you for all your hard work and I’m looking forward to possibly have one of your helpful talks again. Received 2026

Thank you for giving me an opportunity to have work experience at school. Before this I did not know how to make a good paper aeroplane, how it is like to run a country and how actions can affect others. To me this experience meant that it is a job that you have to work with people to create a good product and that it’s a job that has to have a lot of thought behind it. I would like to thank the person who came in because he dealt with a lot of year 8s and was able to keep us entertained. I would also like to thank you because you were able to organise the work experience well. Received 2026
